We transformed an 8,500-square-foot former film supply warehouse into a minimalist gallery defined by the interplay of light and mass. At the heart of the main gallery, the original wood roof structure was exposed, revealing a sculptural spine of rhythmic beams that form a central skylight. Natural light filters through this aperture, casting a soft, diffused glow that shifts subtly throughout the day — fostering a quiet dialogue between art and architecture. Monolithic white walls rise from polished concrete floors, creating a silent exhibition for the art.
FRAMED COURTYARD
Adjacent to the main gallery, a landscaped courtyard draws additional natural light into the space through floor-to-ceiling glass. These glazed openings frame composed views of the courtyard planting, introducing softness and material contrast to the otherwise restrained architecture.
