2012 – 2023
This multi-phase transformation of a historic Spanish-style estate began with the addition of a two-story library and the first private IMAX theater. In Phase I, we built a vaulted, manor-inspired library featuring custom millwork, rolling ladders, and antique furnishings, based on the architect’s vision.
In the subsequent phases, we led the architectural, construction, and interior design efforts, introducing a new wing of the home centered around a jewel-box bar and influenced by speak-easy culture. Outdoors, we redesigned the landscape with a new pool, outdoor living room, and a concealed outdoor screen that rises from an underground vault — integrating year-round functionality.

PHASE I
The two-story library, inspired by My Fair Lady, evokes the romanticism of a European manor with its vaulted ceilings, intricate custom millwork, rolling ladders, and antique furnishings.
PHASE II
The new wing is anchored by an elongated bar wrapped in suede, with a detailed edge, brass accents, and vintage Gucci lamps. Behind it, a mirrored bar back with softly lit step-up brass shelving showcases curated vintage glassware and collectibles. At one end, a built-in candy station invites guests to indulge before entering the in-home theater.
The lounge is clad in wire-brushed white oak paneling and finished with French oak herringbone floors. A custom banquette, paired with a vintage coffee table and lounge chair, completes the space. The adjacent powder room is wrapped in black-and-gold marble wainscoting, with mirrored walls and ceilings that create a kaleidoscopic effect.

PHASE III
The estate’s transformed exterior now features a hand-antiqued Massangis Jaune Claire limestone pool, finished in both smooth and rough surfaces. At the heart of the outdoor space is a central living room, anchored by a reclaimed tiled fireplace and an open-air kitchen with wire-brushed African mahogany cabinets and a brass chandelier with amber glass. Nearby, the outdoor bathroom is accentuated by a carved stone sink. These new outdoor spaces are complemented by mature olive trees and an edible garden.
